This work is, to paraphrase an old cliche, a book of two halves. The first sixteen pieces or so are general thoughts depending on the mood of the day and the ongoing illness of my late wife (primary progressive multiple sclerosis). The second half came about following redundancy, when my wife's health was going downhill so fast it was frightening.
