RHO and JOE - Class of '59
David Sturbois
This is the sixth novel in the Class of '59 series. Joe and Maxine are graduates, barely, of the class of '59. The two of them met in high school and shortly thereafter married and moved to the farm Joe inherited upon the passing of his father. It was there they met Rho, a coyote who had a plan. The coyote family or "pack" only allows one male and female - life partners - to breed. When the patriarch ages or dies, only the strongest and smartest vie for his place. Unlike humans, who breed indiscriminately, with predictable results, each generation of coyotes are naturally prone to breed smarter and physically better offspring than their predecessors... But what if the behavior of coyotes was being genetically altered? Would they surpass humans? How would the human race respond? This book explores a leap of faith on the part of the reader. I have enjoyed writing it, in collaboration with a life-long friend, David Sturbois. His friend, Kellie Pauley, kept me on the correct road in any number of instances! Carol Blue did an incredible job editing! I hope you enjoy it, too!
