In Those Days is the story of John Reedman who in his 50th year, along with his young wife aged 23 and his three sons from a previous marriage aged 22, 21, and 14 years emigrated to Canada. The story gives their reasons for leaving the historic and ancient city of Stamford, England for the wilds of British Columbia, Canada. It answers the question: Why this route? Why Blind Bay? And tells the story of the Reedmans raising a new family in the new land. Along with other Blind Bay homesteaders they cleared the land, built homes, a school, a store, a post office and a recreation hall - in other words they built a community. The Reedman book contains anecdotes remembered by the Reedman family and several other Blind Bay pioneers relate their experiences while homesteading at Blind Bay.
