Bread & Rum You'll never understand the Way I feel at night a Half drained bottle a pen in Hand a pain that never goes away Sleep deprived & things To do at daylight This chronic curse that Keeps me awake is Driving me insane or Perpetuating words & The semblance of thoughts That you'll never understand I make my stand Daylight ever so peevishly Replaces night & still no Sleep after counting a Billion leaping sheep a Lamb for the slaughter For each dull aching throb You'll never understand the Sleeping drunk splayed out On the living-room rug Who finally fell into slumber Thirty minutes before the Alarm clock fucked his Restless dreams asunder
