The life of highs school student Arnie Alvarez is changed entirely after a near fatal encounter changes his life and the life of others close to him as he struggles within himself to ignore the terrible instincts bequeathed upon him as each new cycle of the moon he finds himself slipping farther and farther away from who he is as childhood friend Jay Summer's is the only one entrusted with Arnie's awful secret.
