Wildlife photographer Memory Chance seems to attract strange events. While on location in Africa, a series of animal attacks slaughter her co-workers while leaving her unharmed. Local tribes think she?s a witch with supernatural powers. They?re closer to the truth than Memory knows.

When deliberately and recklessly provoking an adult grizzly leaves Memory unscathed, she decides she needs answers. Her quest takes her to Apaquaque Island, her birthplace in the remote Atlantic.
