When Bug Martin, caretaker of the Children of the Alliance, finally knows the truth regarding her boyfriend Tobias Keogh, and has him back in her life again, she wants nothing more than to keep him there...if only things were that easy. The only assurance that Tobias desires in return is for there to be no more lies between them, and for Bug to make a special effort to stay out of trouble. This, however, proves to be problematic as trouble seems to find her at every turn, especially with the specter of Mathias Martin lurking around South Haven and Rene Billadeau putting pressure on her to attend the Alliance meeting; regardless of the danger it poses to Tobias.
