This is the memoir of a 19 year old from the Arizona Sonoran desert, who enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1978 and landed in Schweinfurt, Germany. In this northern Bavarian city nicknamed "Stick Town" by fellow M. P.'s, he came of age quickly as he embarked on the greatest adventure of his young life. He was thousands of miles from home in Germany, where he learned about man's inhumanity to man, and all about life's truly simple pleasures. From German beer fests to exciting drug busts, from German bar maids to bar fights, and a horrifying homicide, you'll ride along with the U. S. Army 7th Corps Military Police men and women of the 793rd M. P. Batallion as they "work the road" in Schweinfurt, Federal Republic of Germany in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
