WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE? intertwines the lives of twelve characters, delving into the widespread effects lying in our current political discourse, particularly in the electoral process, and proposing a way of preventing it. The senior senator of Massachusetts has been accused of lying during his reelection campaign. The dozen characters of this novel all play intricate parts in determining what is fact and what is fiction. Enter Janet Worthington, an attorney who acted as an enabler and apologist for her rich and powerful clients. Tension arises from a struggle between an altruistic biochemist who develops a wonder drug to cure the ravages of depression and Janet's father, a wealthy entrepreneur who employs extortion and blackmail against the US senator in order to conceal evidence from the FDA that the drug has a catastrophic side effect that will affect millions-including Janet's sister, Marguerite. After learning of her father's massive fraud, Janet morphs into a driving force committed to ensuring that her father and the senator are made to answer for the harm they wrought on the sufferers of the drug's side effect as well as the larceny they perpetrated on the voting public.
