An era that brought about the Synapsids (Reptiles with waterproof skin) hybrids, and many more unique colonized creatures. You had the clan of unique and powerful cats, and disastrous clan of hyenas, monkeys tribes, etc... These creatures were humanlike in every way, from compassionate to conning, brilliant to dimwitted, many very conniving and treacherous.(Just like many today) Tempted by power and the will to do anything to gain it, even kill.
