Why do they all look down?
John McLain
Seven year old Johnny has become enamored of the weeping willow tree that grows in his forest. His connection to the tree is rooted in his own personal sadness, something he is unaware of even though his feeling for the tree is very strong. He decides that one day he will go to the tree and relieve it of all sadness.
This is the story of his first journey to the tree.
Along the way he encounters a squirrel, a pair of singing robins and a tiny faun who all help him on his way. Once he arrives at the tree he is greeted by his guardian angel who takes him on a journey of discovery. Johnny learns about the burden of caring for others and once he understands the burden he is filled with joy many times over.
