Growing up in the middle of Los Angeles isn't an isn't thing to do. Sex, violence, hood love and death is hard for anyone to deal with. It's the results of the advantages and the disadvantages that life in the hood throws at you which will make you a sucker or a savage. But when a sheltered CeCe leaps off the front porch into the streets she comes across several life lessons that will put her in situations that will help mold her into the woman she will turn out to be. Cece finds herself dealing with heartbreak from her first love while juggling feelings she has for a childhood friend, bouncing back from severed friendships and relationships, domestic violence, experimenting with her sexuality, disappointment and death. CeCe never expected life to be easy when she first left her mother's house but a series of events CeCe is put through will shape her into a woman who can hold her own. She sets off on a journey for the life she believes she really wants and one that will have one hell of a ride.
