This short work is a treasure trove of experienced knowledge. It is "Cliff Notes" for the first two works of St. John of the Cross. To date, there is no other work so well crafted, nor articulated in such a succinct manner regarding the Mystical Path. Constantaine Barbanson, is obviously well read and educated, he covers from Augustine, Pseudo Dionysius, The works by the author of the Cloud of Unknowing, on to St. John of the Cross and many others.
