We probably have all visited a zoo when we were children, but do you remember what you saw?As a collection of animals, zoos have started to move away from their original purpose of just housing animals, often in very enclosed spaces. To nowadays, when animal enclosures are much larger, but still have the purpose of ensuring you can actually see them. Zoos will have special houses for their insects, reptiles and fish collections among others, and special enclosures for birds. However you should still be able to see your favourites, as another job of zoos is to conserve both rare as well as common species. So there should be bats, birds, elephants, giraffes, gorillas, lions, monkeys, pandas, penguins, polar bears, reptiles, rhinos and tigers, and the list goes on. Your job is to go to a zoo and record the animals you see, for both you and your children's future memories, and also to say what you like or dislike about the zoo. Is it very expensive or reasonable to enter, eat and drink. Do they charge extra for some exibits such as Pandas?
