Ordinary twenty year old, Isha, finds herself in the Western region of Africa in the year of 2117, a century ahead of her time. Her world is now one with black plantation owners and white slaves. The Queen of this matriarchal society is relentless in her pursuit to conquer and colonize European countries. Isha is forced to participate in a fight to the death, in order for the Queen to find the most suitable warriors to lead in her upcoming battle. In addition to her struggle to survive, Isha also explores her identity within this society where the power has shifted. To be black...to be a woman...to worship the supreme being of your ancestors is to be superior, more capable, and more civilized.
