Phroso is the 1897 romantic action comedy novel by the famous author Anthony Hope. The story concerns a Lord Wheatley that decides to purchase an island in the Turkish Peloponnese. Things go awry when he falls for a woman who is to be the islands ruler only to be involved in a soon to be war.
