The way people negatively talk about us or think about us can affect our feeling of self worth. People generally want to think of themselves as worthy, but others want us to think that way. They do this through deception, manipulation, and selfishness. The reason they do it is they are jealous, afraid, or intimidated by others. We can take the wisdom from the knowledge of feelings of deception, manipulation and selfishness to understand why people are jealous, afraid, or intimidated by us. This wisdom is the shield against the attack on our self worth. No longer do the feelings of others resulting in actions affect our self worth.
