Socio-semiotics of Selected Contemporary Nigerian Dramatic Texts: an Interdisciplinary Methodological Science

The breadth of this book is such that it cannot be considered simply as a 'discipline' while it is at the same time multifaceted and heterogeneous to be defined as a method. Essentially, this book applies a multidisciplinary science whose precise methodological characteristics necessarily vary from field to field. This book is united by a common focus and thrust which is the use of the semiotic tool for the better understanding of the aesthetic, cognitive and epistemic aspects of Wole Soyinka's Kongi's Harvest, Femi Osofisan's Morountodun, Zulu Sofola's The Sweet Trap, Ola Rotimi's The Gods Are Not to Blame, John Pepper Clark's Song of a Goat, and Olu Obafemi's Suicide Syndrome.
