It also quantifies other bottom fauna and marine phytoplanktons. Regarding the chemistry of the area, the book provides estimates of temperature, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, nutrients (ammonia,nitrite, nitrate, phosphate), total hydrocarbons in water and sediments, and heavy metals.
