Stationen poetischer Entwicklung: Paul Celans Gedichtbande in chronologisch-historischer Folge - Passages – Transitions – Intersections

The research included in this book covers creative and production-aesthetic aspects of Paul Celan's poetry collections. They trace the author's process, from emergence of the first poetic idea to realization of the poetic message. The time and circumstances of the poems, their thematic consistency, titles, architectonics of collections (order of poems, their cyclization, configuration of poetic lines), as well as contacts with publishers, correspondence with editors, printing, and design of poetry books play an important role in this case. The dialogic principle immanent in Celan's poetry is realized here at the level of verbal, thematic, figurative, and structural antiphons. In general, Celan's poetry collections form an intertextual chain, whose links are inseparably linked with each other.
