Rory McAllister and Ben Lucas are two men living the New American Dream. Doctors and best friends begin a fateful collaboration targeting both a cure for degenerative diseases of old age and a search for a genetically engineered 'Fountain of Youth' in the form of a serum to regenerate stem cells. Occupied with their "day jobs" at the local university hospital, Rory as an Obstetrical Surgeon and Ben as Assistant Head of Research and Development. They spend their weekends at Ben's private makeshift lab in relentless pursuit of the Holy Grail of Medicine: The Nobel Prize. The pressure they are under intensifies when Rory's widowed mother, Miz Millie, is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Grappling with moral and ethical questions, both young doctors are in a race against time, and other doctors and research scientists globally are involved in the same field of research.
