Guardian of the Flaming Sword

"Guardian of the Flaming Sword" continues the romantic adventures of Marcus the Archer and April of Black Moor. Since crossing paths through a mysterious passage between their worlds, they have made new friends, and new enemies. The passages that link them together are very ancient. They dive into the mystery to solve who made the passages and what was the purpose for the intergalactic passages. Their enemies don't want travelers from other worlds coming to the planet Varna, which acts like a transit hub for the various travelers. A secret society of rulers called the Breakers want to keep the passages for themselves, since the passages can bring wealth, power, and domination of people. The Breakers refer to travelers who violate the use of the passages as Sojourners. The young, lovely April of Black Moor is the type of sojourner the Breakers fear the most. Her romantic involvement with Marcus the Archer, a prince from the Bast Empire, could bring her to the throne of one of Varna's largest empires. The Breakers will do whatever they can to stop April from ascending to the throne, even if it means killing Marcus the Archer, who is one of their native sons.
