The Rise of Nethanel

With deer, the only thing worse than failure is success. Using an intimate knowledge of their home territories, deer are frequently successful at finding food and evading predators. This leads to over population and a shallow gene pool, which threatens to weaken the specie. Among a certain number of the deer herd, this condition triggers an impulse to wander in hopes of finding new opportunities. Nethanel was one such individual, perhaps the most important one. The obstacles he must overcome are formidable, but he must find a way to overcome them if he is to rise to the place destiny has offered him.
