Laura Killeen left an abusive relationship with her husband Steve. She took a job with an older lawyer, William Gordon. Things seemed good until William is found dead in his office, an apparent suicide. Laura faces an uncertain and lonely future. She is attracted to the handsome Detective Brad Samuel who investigates William's death. Soon after Brad starts his investigation Laura is attacked repeated by an unknown stranger.
