Between the Rivers

A story of hope in helplessness, courage in the carnage, of love and faith.between the rivers. Between two rivers is the world's largest river island - Majuli. For centuries, the surrounding water has shielded the island from external influences and thus here is developed a unique culture, a great religious movement, and unpolluted natural treasures. But that shield is about to crumble. A bridge is about to be constructed to connect it with the external world which many feel will be the gateway to this island's cultural destruction. The island itself is being reduced by erosion due to the devastating floods of the mighty river which surrounds it. The defender itself is devouring the island. Amidst such threats to the survival of the body and spirit of the island, love and life are blooming. Like the island, a heart is caught between two suitors.
