Today is the day Paige Ambrosia died.

Today is also the day that Paige will get a second chance.
She is chosen as a genie's apprentice.

As she begins to learn the tricks of the trade, she discovers
that death may have extended this hope only to yank it back.

Wishes usually come in threes. The first wish is usually to get what a master wants.
The second wish is a desperate attempt to keep the first without the consequences. The third wish is usually a desperate attempt to get it back to the way it was before the first wish was made.

Paige begins to make connections and comes to appreciate her new abilities and the good she can do with them.
She even finds love and friendship. Then she learns she isn't a normal genie.
