Mitch Albom adapts his own novel for this made-for-TV fantasy drama starring Jon Voight, Jeff Daniels and Ellen Burstyn. 83-year-old war veteran Eddie (Voight) works in maintenance at Ruby Pier theme park. When he saves the life of a young girl who is about to be crushed by a malfunctioning ride, Eddie dies and finds himself in heaven.

There he meets five individuals he encountered when he was alive and discovers how they shaped the course of his life.
