Canada Reads 2008 Winner

Canada's popular battle of the books returns, and BTC Audiobooks is once again posed to release the Canada Reads winner as an audiobook. No radio show since Peter Gzowski's Morningside has created as many instant bestsellers as Canada Reads -- nor been as adept at reading the temperature of the times. Just consider Heather O'Neill's Lullabies for Little Criminals, Miriam Toews' A Complicated Kindness, or the dark-horse of 2005, Frank Parker Day's Rockbound. In this nail-biting game of literary Survivor, five celebrity panellists choose a book they think all Canadians should read and then debate their picks on nationa radio (and television) over a full week. Hundreds of thousands of listeners tune in each day to discover which author's work has been eliminated, and which one lives another day.
