Flint S Gift (Sam Flint)
Richard S. Wheeler
Frontier editors were a courageous and ornery lot who sometimes kept a six-gun handy to fend off outraged subscribers to their weeklies.
Sam Flint is one of the breed, a tough editor with a caring eye. In Payday, Arizona, where he operates the Payday Pioneer, some toughs try to take over the peaceful town, and only the weekly paper stands between the sinister newcomers and the citizens who have made Payday their own Eden.
Flint is one of those unsung heroes of the early West, the editors who fight for justice when there is none. Novelist Richard Wheeler has written a three-book series about frontier journalism, the other two being Flint?s Honor and Flint?s Truth.
