Thirunarayanan's concept, a "Personal Thoughteracy Assistant (PTA)," aportable, and perhaps even wearable, device will be able to translate, read, write,and perform other various technological functions to help illiterate people. With features such as searching external digital libraries, converting spokenwords into written text, and scanning text from books or written documents, thePTA will open up a new world for those struggling with illiteracy.
