Have you ever read certain passages in the Bible and thought, something doesn't seem quite right, but you couldn't put your finger on it? For instance, comparing Romans 8:1 with Matthew 18:34-35. Romans 8:1??Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.? Matthew 18:34-35 ??In anger, his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart.? So are we forgiven by God once and for all and face no condemnation? Or is the truth that if we fail to forgive every single person every time they do something wrong against us we face ending up in God?s torture chamber? Which is it? Smoothing out of these theological clunks and bumps is the subject of /the-il-logical/, a book poised to change the spiritual landscape of the world. For centuries humanity has faced a myriad of religious choices. And Jesus has been one among many. But what exactly did Paul mean when he said, ?It is for freedom that Christ has set us free?? What if the choice for humanity has always been between freedom and everything else? Jesus said, ?Come to me, ALL who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.? ALL who are tired of religion (any religion); weary of appeasing gods and spirits while ?trying? to be good. ALL who are tired of being shackled under the tyranny of finite human resources and the limited resources of the physical world. ALL who are tired of guilt-trips and striving in ?sanctification? toward ?Christlikeness,? and ALL big-time sinners who don?t really care what anyone thinks. ALL who are tired of ALL THAT CRAP?and want to rest. For 2,000 years, God has been inviting the world to freedom. God invites you to join his party. And the party starts now.
