The technology field has become a key driver of the world economy. Companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Facebook are not only iconic organizations, but their founders are often legends in their own right. However, the ethnic and gender make-up of these companies are overwhelmingly reflections of their founders: white males. Anjuan Simmons has worked in the technology industry for 20 years are a software developer, infrastructure architect, and software project manager.
