Tangle of Secrets Beverly Harris 1. utgave

What were they hiding? What would it take, Carlos agonizes, for his parents to treat him as an adult? Loving and generous as they are, why all the control, the secrecy, the manipulation from his childhood on into his 20s? What is it they need to hide even after he moves far from home for a responsible job as a news photographer? Also puzzling and annoying is his oldest brother?s persistent bullying and not-so-subtle hints that Carlos is somehow different. Carlos feels he has no choice?he delves into the family background. What he finds is plenty upsetting, yet not nearly so shocking as the sudden event that calls him home. When the family mystery unravels, he encounters one love that couldn?t happen and another that gives his life, his ambition, and talent, an unexpected direction. Tangle of Secrets explores the consequences when parents can?t reveal a truth. Relationships, terror, humor and a satisfying ending blend into a modern tale by former journalist, Beverly Harris. This short novel is especially suited for today?s routines?ideal for the air traveler, the vacationer, the reader with a few undemanding hours.
