A thrilling new high fantasy series from author Casey Neumiller, this is a novel you won't want to put down!

Everyone has a destiny.

A teenage street-wise thief, Ben is at the top of his game. So when he is recruited to join a band of brigands for a heist promising riches enough to leave the slums, he's eager to help. But the job will not be easy - not when the target is the royal crown, locked away in the most secure castle in Letale. And when the unity of the group begins to fray, he is forced to choose between friends, when the wrong choice means imprisonment or death!

Magi apprentice Arraya is content with her quiet life of study, but her solitude is shattered by her master's vision of a rightful heir to the throne. She is forced to pursue him by her own vision: a horrifying image of his death by fire at the hands of an unseen foe. Untried and untested, she struggles to reach her master, but finds herself caught between newfound allies and old friends, with time running out to prevent a tragedy and complete her master's mission.

And sitting on the throne, with allies dark and powerful, is the Usurper-King, a man who guards his throne jealously and will surely kill any who trespass on his power...
