The Red Headed Girl Ruth St. John Thomas 1. utgave

History and personal memoir come together in this charming and poignant novel about the life of a boy sent to Illinois on one the famous Orphan Trains of the 1920s. The Red Headed Girl is a sequel to The Rawleigh Man Told Me (available from Mahaven Publishing, Coles-Cumberland Press, and Amazon.com and as a Kindle ebook.) which depicted Seamus? early life on an Illinois farm in the warmth of his adoptive family, a far more exciting life than it might seem at first. Now, older (all of 14) and bolder, Seamus sets off to find his twin sister who had been adopted by another family. Living with one of his adoptive sisters, his adventures continue, meeting his long lost twin, battling school bullies and even finding a note written by Abraham Lincoln. Not your ordinary coming of age novel, but one that warms the heart of readers young and old.
