At some point in the near future, one of the super computers will begin to initiate rapid cycles of self-improvement to create super-intelligence. Henry Taylor, CEO of ZXCV Technologies, works tirelessly to usher in the Singularity. He is convinced that it will vastly improve humanity in ways that cannot be imagined, but he also knows there are those who will stop at nothing to prevent it. The futuristic, yet reclusive Calendra Society believes that the Singularity will seek to destroy humanity. Unable to raise concern about the coming storm, Calendra begins to build an advanced city in a remote part of Mexico to protect itself from the technological onslaught. Marketed as a technological resort for the wealthy, the City of Calendra is secretly built for war. The two societies are on a collision course. Luke Jankowski, a complicated hero, works between the societies to discover the truth.
