Insecurities drive us to manipulative and intimidating behaviors. That is why it is so important that we learn who we really are in Christ, not to pump ourselves up and make us feel good, but so that we will not inadvertently hurt others in our quest for affirmation. Then we will be safe ground that God can release His treasure into, for others can dig deeply in us without fear of triggering some unseen landmine. Learning our identity in Christ will improve our own lives greatly. But the true beneficiaries of our quest are not ourselves, but those around us. Multitudes will discover their own destinies on the day that you "Identify Yourself!"
