A secretive coalition of wealthy individuals, powerful enough to control governments, determines to use new technology to prevent their inevitable decline from age and disease and to enhance physical and mental abilities. To achieve the quickest results, animal studies are bypassed and unwitting humans become their guinea pigs. When the victims discover what has happened to them, they combine forces and fight back, using their new special abilities resulting from genetic manipulation.
