"The Rainbow's End" is the story of a special day for nine-year-old Norman Beasley, who lives on a South Dakota farm with his parents. It's the end of a rainy day, and he is going to put to the test his ideas about the way rainbows behave. He is determined to follow his dream, no matter how impossible it might seem. Even though he is young, Norman faces a big decision. Will he follow through to the end in spite of difficulties, or will he give up when it looks like his idea is a bust? Norman learned that in the Bible, the rainbow represents a promise from God. But what is it on a rainy South Dakota farm for a young boy? Norman is learning to walk, not by what he sees, but by what he he knows is true. This story will be enjoyed by children of any age. Like the nineteenth century author George MacDonald said about his own stories, this is written "for the child-like, whether they be of five, or fifty, or seventy-five."
