Pero sus dificultades en contraste con muchas de las familias a su alrededor inculco el deseo de tener exito. La historia es contada a traves de una carta escrita por uno de los ninos a su padre fallecido en un esfuerzo por parar las pesadillas que lo continuan atormentando hasta bien entrada su vida adulta. Muy intenso y emocional.

Contributor Bio:  Mercado, Alberto I moved to the states in the spring of 1985 after making a decision to leave my native Puerto Rico. I knew what I wanted to do with my life so I embarked on a journey of a lifetime. With the help of some people I met along the way, I quickly adjusted to the American way of living. Although I never forgot who I was or where I came from, I knew I had to put aside my belief and my culture and started to incorporate my culture into the new one. In the 29 years that I've been living in Massachusetts, I have held different jobs that helped shape who I am today. With each job, I learned something different about myself that otherwise I wouldn't have known. I started taken pictures as a hobby and before I knew it, I had become a freelance photographer. During one of my photography exhibits, I wrote a five page autobiography which the reader took it to heart and encouraged me to write a book. Soon after, I found myself writing my first novel titled "From Ashes to Dreams; My Life, My Story." I have written five books since that first novel and as soon as my readers continue to enjoy my stories, there will be a new book to write. I live in Sturbridge, Mass with my partner of 19 years. I enjoy hiking, camping and kayaking.
