The Spontaneous Artist

THE SPONTANEOUS ARTIST is a full-color edition that contains the author's art work over a period of six years (1986-1991) during which he actively pursued a change of his career, facilitated from 1989 by a psychotherapy and a corresponding self-therapy using inner child recovery, healing and art work. There are in total 98 drawings, which are except two (one gouache and one aquarelle) all done using pastel crayons. The present volume is understood by the author as an add-on to his Idiot Guide to Intuition (2010), Part II, and his audio book Child Play: Coaching Your Inner Child (2010). It shows that spontaneous art can be done by everyone who is seriously interested to express their true emotions, and who let their inner child do the rest. The author emphasizes that he has never pursued any studies in fine art or design; one may even see these productions from a purely psychotherapeutic perspective, while they are art also when not primarily intended to be art, but a process of building emotional self-awareness, as part of a self-therapy.
