Alex was one of those kids who didn't have a clue, about life, about school, about the distinction between right and wrong. He was a Bailey Boy, but just barely. Few wanted to hang with a kid who followed fools, dabbled in petty crime and made a total ass of himself whenever Mother Nature gave him half a chance. Observers wondered whether Alex was right in the head. Alex wondered about that too, when he had some time off from his nightmares and daydreams. But there was hope for Alex, if he could climb that water tower and win that photo contest, if he could shuck his demons.....
