Hamilton Narby moved to Bordeaux from Canada in the late 1970s to renovate a rundown château bought by his family in the sweet wine region of Sauternes. Under the Narby stewardship of almost 30 years Château Guiraud, a 1st Classified Growth, was restored to its former glory. This short story, written for his grand daughter Margaux, draws on his love of the region and the story behind the Golden Dolphin that graced the wine label. The illustrations are by William and Amy Narby - a family affair.
