To Khire, death has always been his greatest companion, the dark alleyways his home. As an assassin, he has grown accustomed to the rhythms and dangers of life on the streets at night. During the day however, Khire tries to be the person he wishes he could be and fights to stay on the side of good against evil. But as Khire becomes fixated on getting revenge, the lines become blurred. He truly believes that he can only live once his master is dead.

His fixation leads him on a destructive path that causes him to loose himself and nearly destroy all the goodness in his life. He struggles to walk the fine line of right and wrong in a world that has set him up to be a criminal. Only when he is saved through love, does he learn that there is more to life then killing- and that death is not the only price for life.
