The Far Off Ships
Kenneth Fenwick
An extremely vivid and realistic story of life at sea at the time of the Battle of Trafalgar. The author reconstructs the story of what he describes as "the greatest chase in history" as seen by a young seaman who took part in it in one of Nelson's ships engaged in blockading the French in the Mediterranean. As a climax the author gives an eye-witness's account of the Battle of Trafalgar, one of the most vivid of its kind ever written.
Here is a strong and exciting story of deep human interest set in one of the greatest periods of English history.
