In China, near the great lake Poyang Hu, Mount Lu is located that is renowned as a historic center for healing. Hundreds of monasteries had once been located in the region. The protagonists, having been forced to flee the 'paradise ', America, start a new life in China, water-born on the lake, out of reach to the West. But China isn't the Golden Shore of Peace where they find tranquility and rest. China itself is in need of healing. They reach out to it with the freedom to love, to live, to choose, to cherish, to heal, to reach beyond its marriage to traditions, to enrich them; courageously seeking greater happiness, liberty, peace and joy for themselves and their new people, and China responds. It responds out of the background of its long, rich history. The Principle of Universal Love widens the challenge into the greater challenge to uplift the world. The protagonists move forward on this front. They do not flinch, nor do they say "it is impossible to go further." China unfolds its heart as one of the few countries in the world that still embraces the principle of progress. It sees boundless horizons and reaches for them. The light of universal love that once shone brightly in Europe and later in America, but has dimmed in those places, still glows brightly in China. May we awake again to this light that we still all have within us by who and what we are. With this unfolds hope for the world.
