Cierra Zander, a strong willed, young and brilliant attorney, finds that her past prevents her from advancing her career and is forced to leave her home. Cierra soon finds a position at a large California law firm and quickly moves upward. Assigned to a special project, Cierra questions her ascent into the upper echelon of the law firm, but accepts the new assignment gracefully. The case takes her miles away and includes a stay at a private ski resort. It is there that she meets Evan Jamison; a passionate and fun love affair ensues.
