Depression is like having a demon walk beside you each and every day. You can feel it breathe on your neck; you see it standing in the corner of every room. No one else can see or hear this monster torturing you each and every day. The reality is, this is your demon to face, yours alone. You see depression is like a war except either you win, or die trying. People may try to understand how you feel, and you may find solace in speaking with them; however most people cannot comprehend what you are experiencing. Depression is different for everyone, it affects each one of us differently, though the end results may be the same, our demons are different. So even those whom have suffered as we have may still not understand your specific situation, this is something you must remember. You may not wish to admit you see this dark figure standing there in front of you, staring at you with its red blood shot eyes and razor sharp teeth ready to rip you apart. You may wish to ignore the fact that you have depression that this is simply just a phase which will pass. Don't allow this to happen, don't ignore the demon and allow him to come closer to you each day, closer and closer to pulling you down with him that he may devour you. As I mentioned earlier losing this battle means losing your life.
