The year is 1942, the place, North Africa. A young American pilot and a Luftwaffe fighterdestroy each other's aircraft. The pilots struggleto survive the desert. The German pilot dies. Before being taken by German forces, the American switches their identities, but he steps on a land mine. A reconstructed face enables him to assume the German's life and his beautiful, young fraulein sweetheart.
