About the second edition of "Writings: The Sacred Other" Henry Templeman does not identify to any particular belief, faith, ideology, knowledge, philosophy, or teaching. He identifies to nothing. It is from this unbiased and unfiltered point of view that he describes some of the most important issues that have concerned human beings throughout history, including what is love, intelligence, freedom, contentment, meditation, death, and God. In 2013 Templeman began to explore these issues with the primary concern to not distort the exploration in any way. As a result he walked away from the whole of human thought, started from scratch to examine these things from a free and untethered perspective, and it was then that an immense insight occurred. The moment the whole of thought as personal belief, faith, ideology, and all the rest of it, was discarded, an unexpected insight happened that unified all of these issues into a single and undivided whole, revealed what instantly ends all mental conflict and human sorrow, and opened the door to a field of existence outside the limitations of time and human thought, which was unlimited, timeless, and therefore sacred. The insight and what poured out from it are described here in the first 500 entries of his diary, or "Writings," which includes his personal notes, observations, and experiences of his everyday life, and what it means to come upon "the sacred other." In addition the second edition also contains background information about the author himself.
